When Alan Spergel became a member of the Humber River Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, he always knew he was supporting a great cause to serve the community. In fact, Alan has been involved with the Foundation since his firm first made a donation back in 2006.

Today, Alan is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Foundation. He continuously leads and inspires other members of the Board to help find new and exciting ways to raise funds for the Hospital.

Alan will even support the Hospital in the future, by leaving a gift in his Will to Humber, alongside his wife, Julie. This makes them part of the Aspen Grove Society, Humber River Hospital Foundation’s legacy giving program.

“Humber is a leading Hospital here in Canada, and indeed around the world. Julie and I are proud to give to Humber because we feel that our values align very well,” Alan said. “As a member and Chair of the Board, my trust and confidence in this Hospital has only grown and flourished. Our whole family is very dedicated to helping Humber grow.”

Alan adds that he and Julie are very excited to support the Hospital because they believe Humber is a leader in developing new methodologies in patient care and are on the cutting edge of the latest technologies in the medical field.

Those are one of the many reasons why it was such an easy decision for Alan and Julie to leave a gift to Humber in their Wills.

“When you think about your Will, you want to provide for your family, but you also want to consider what organizations mean the most to you. We are so fortunate to have Humber as our Hospital. The quality of care and expertise here are unmatched,” Alan said. “It’s very important to me and Julie that Humber continues to invest in future research and the latest advancements, whatever they may be 20 or 30 or 50 years into the future. We are proud to be part of that story.”
