Team Revolution

Team Revolution started with a dream to help revolutionize healthcare in our community by raising funds for the new Humber River Hospital. In 2011, sixty determined cyclists joined forces to conquer the hills of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region in support of a dramatically different hospital. Months of intense training—through the extremes of our Canadian climate—paid off: On October 13, 2012, Team Revolution crossed the finish line of the Granfondo Italia victorious, raising $425,000 to help build North America’s most digital hospital.

One Granfondo wasn’t enough for these big-hearted cyclists. They recognized the continued need as Humber River Hospital continued to innovate and use technology to reinvent patient care. On September 7, 2014, Team Revolution took to the mountains of Piacenza, Italy to conquer the Granfondo Piacenza Scott, followed by a grueling, 132km Granfondo through treacherous weather and bumpy roads in Terracina, Italy on September 18, 2016.

Over the years, the team has grown to over 100 riders and has raised $1.8 million for Humber River Hospital. Team Revolution’s sights are now set on their next big challenge: they are heading back to Italy in September 2018 to complete the Granfondo Peschiera Del Garda.

How will our riders reach the finish line? With hard work, perseverance and your support.
